To enable merchOne to invoice an intra-Community supply VAT-exempt, you must enter a valid VAT ID in your company profile. The VAT ID must meet the following criteria:
1. It must not be a German VAT number (i.e., VAT-ID should not start with DE).
2. The VAT ID entered must have been issued to your company name and address.
3. The VAT number must be valid when you submit it.
